Here is a list of the most frequent questions asked by Affiliates of our platform.

How does Hotmart associated sales to specific Affiliates?  

Hotmart owns proprietary technology capable of identifying a visitor at the time they click on the Affiliate link and it’s able to then check at the time of purchase whether that transaction has gone through an Affiliate link. Even if the visitor returns to the sales page days later, Hotmart will still know the sale came from a specific Affiliate.

How much commission will I earn?

Since your commission is a percentage of the sales you make, the amount you receive will depend on the price of the product sold.

How long does it take to approve an affiliation request?

Producers are responsible for approving affiliation requests, so they’re the best person to answer this question. You can check out all your pending affiliation requests on the platform. Just click on Products in the left side menu, then I’m an Affiliate, and finally Requests Sent.

After the buyer clicks on my Hotlink, until how long afterward can Hotmart track my referral?  

Cookies are active for 60, 90,180 days or forever, depending on the Producer setting.

What happens if the Producer alters or removes the product that I am promoting?

Any alteration that has an effect in commissions of products you’re promoting will be announced to you 3 days before they're put into effect. That way, if the Producer alters the price, the percentage of commissions or even if he wishes to exclude the product you’re affiliated to, you’ll have 3 days to adjust your campaigns, your site and also to assess if you’d like to continue your affiliation to that product. In case of exclusion, after 3 days the Hotlinks to that product will no longer work.   

Can I affiliate to as many products as I wish?

Where can I find the Hotlinks (purchase links) and Sales pages of the products I’m affiliated to?

To view your Hotlinks, simply access the menu PRODUCTS > My products in your Hotmart account

All of the products you promote will be there, and their respective links for purchase and sales pages.

Can I create my own site, with my own domain and use my Hotlinks to sell products from there?

Yes! Actually, we recommend you to do that if you don’t have your own site yet. Affiliates with sites/blogs and their own domain usually have much better results in their campaigns and referrals. The more credibility a site has, the bigger the chances his results will be amazing.
