For the free trial period option to be enabled on your subscription product, it needs to be hosted on our members area, Hotmart Club. Besides, it is only available for credit card payments.
If the buyer doesn’t cancel the subscription after the end of the free trial period, she will be automatically charged to continue having access to the product. The cancellation can be requested at any time and all the information about cancelling subscriptions can be found in this article. The buyer can subscribe to a free trial period product only once. If she requests the cancellation of the subscription and subscribes to it again, the free trial period option will not be available.
To set up the free trial period for your subscription product, follow the steps below:
1. Login to your Hotmart account through the link: https://app-vlc.hotmart.com/login
2. On the left side menu, click Products
3. Click on My Products
4. Then, select the subscription product to which you’ll set up the free trial period and then click on Edit
5. In Pricing , click New Plan
6. On Free Trial Period Settings, enable the period your product will be available for your client to access (from 1 to 30 days).
As soon as this period is over, your client will be automatically charged to the access to your product.
Example: you set up a free trial period of 7 days for your subscription. On the 8th day, the client will be charged if she doesn’t cancel it.

The option “Free Trial” is automatically selected but the buyer will have the option of purchasing the product on the spot, if she’d like.
The buyer needs to enter her credit card information to complete the process. The amount of US$ 1.00 will be charged and automatically refunded so that the system can confirm the procedure.
